Local Phoenix DJ and Producer Inertia has been confirmed for Lingerieve 4 on August 21′st. He is scheduled to perform on his rarely seen Ableton setup which has been a crowd favorite on the rare occasions he packs it up, and takes it out of the studio. Fans should be treated to some amazing techno and a few surprises.

Tron Legacy is getting closer, and I’m so fired up about it! My very nice GF (who happens to work for a movie company), was nice enough to bring home a promo poster for me last night. Growing up as an 80′s child, I can remember watching this over and over again, eventually wearing out the tape. I LOVE me some Tron.

Apparently Daft Punk do also, as they are responsible for the soundtrack to the upcoming Tron Legacy movie. Today I find myself in the possession of 6 songs they did for the soundtrack. Dark, heavily syncopated, and yet somehow lush is the only way I have to describe the material. If you are expecting fluffy “Around the World” type stuff here, you may be disappointed. This isn’t electro pop, this is true movie sound track material and I think it’s pretty solid. As with any movie, sound-tracks are closely tied with the scenes they are trying to convey, and I can only hope that dark, lush, and heavily syncopated will be the theme for the movie in general.

Best Wishes!

Republik Records catalog #002, “Juxtaposition” by Inertia is now available on all fine online music retailers, including Beatport, Trackitdown, and others….Enjoy the release, which features remixes by Las Vegas legendary DJ/Producer Robert Oleysyck.

This track charted #1 on the MyPromoPool techno charts, and #18 at it’s highest amongst all genres.

Well, the time has come. “Juxtaposition” has finally been released on Stainless Digital this week, and while the hard numbers aren’t in, things are looking good for the track, with support from Markus Schulz, Dave Seaman, Chloe Harris, Robert Owens, and others.

You can find both the Original mix, and the very classy remixes from Robert Oleysyck in an earlier blog post.

In other news, I’ve been working a few top secret remixes that I will tell you more about when the time is right. Best wishes all for a lovely summer, and thank you all for your wonderful support!

Thanks to Intergroove Distribution in Germany, my first release (and all future releases for Republik) will be available on the major download shops of the world. Including Beatport, Itunes, DJDownload, Trackitdown, 7Digital, etc…. Get Republik at your favorite online music retailer.

Electronic music label Stainless Digital will be releasing Juxtaposition in May. As part of the package, they pulled in long time veteran Vegas DJ (and Producer) Robert Oleysyck. Robert has taken the original, and reworked it into a laidback, sexy beast of a track that seems to defy genre boundries. But don’t take my word for it. Check it out for yourself.

Well it’s about time. Republik Records has officially launched, and our first release was done by yours truly. “A Place Full of Nowhere” is a little tech-house meets sci-fi number that I finished about a month ago. Republik releases can be found exclusively on www.trackitdown.net. Please support local and independent artists and labels, and remember when you buy this or any other Republik release, your money is going towards establishing the worlds first EDM label run entirely by it’s fans.

For the NGDJ competition, I did a demo track called “Throwback” which infused elements of Old School Tech and Modern Progressive with a healthy batch of FSOL samples thrown in. Here is the link to download that Track. Enjoy.
